I don't have a favorite James Bond, but I've had a favorite Doctor for about fifteen years, and it's Jon Pertwee. For me, he was the perfect blend of brilliance, charm, style, and intermittent curmudgeonry. Tom Baker, I think, was the best ever at playing the Doctor as he would really be -- pure mad alien intellect -- but Pertwee is the Doctor that I want to be.
I've though to myself that I should draw the Doctor numerous times in the past, but never made an attempt until the other day. The likeness isn't great, but it's in the neighborhood at least. Micron pens and one of those cheapie brush pens on printer paper. |
